4 Golden Tips for
Perfect Operation
Often, the small details make the difference. Here’s how to ensure
maximum performance from your ioGate®.
01.
Location is everything
On tinted windshields, attach the label to the black dotted area near the rearview mirror. This is the only clear area that allows radio signals to pass through unimpeded.

Be careful with metal
Avoid attaching the tag to metal parts or too close to other electronic devices. The metal creates a “shield” that blocks the signal, preventing the control unit from reading the tag.
03.
Do a “dry” test
Don’t apply the final label right away. Secure it temporarily with masking tape and perform a test run. Only once you’ve confirmed the optimal reading and distance should you proceed with the final application.
04.
Orient the antenna correctly
Aim the antenna toward oncoming vehicles, tilting it slightly downward to better intercept the tag on the windshield. Do a few practice tests to find the ideal angle.
